The Funny Bone

A new pastor was visiting the homes of his parishioners.

At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a card and wrote ‘Revelation 3:20’ on the back of it and stuck it in the door.

When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, ‘Genesis 3:10.’

Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter.

Revelation 3:20 begins, ‘Behold, I stand at the door, and knock.’ Genesis 3:10 reads, ‘I heard thy voice in the garden and I was afraid, because I was naked.’

Newsletter - Quarter 2The Lionheart School is a non-profit independent school whose mission is ‘to provide a developmentally appropriate program for children on the autism spectrum or with other challenges of relating and communicating.’ Established in 2000, the Lionheart School was founded by a group of concerned parents in collaboration with educational professionals and therapists. Their goal is to provide the resources necessary to teach life skills to these kids who, otherwise, would have limited options when they reach adulthood. Since it’s origination twelve years ago, the Lionheart School has been able to effectively serve kids ages 5 through 21 and were recently able to move into their building in Alpharetta, GA. Energy Savings Tip

Newsletter - Quarter 2

With summer vacation just around the corner, the winter dreams of sandy white beaches and clear blue water are closer to becoming a reality. Yet with rising gas costs, it can put a damper on any summer traveling you have planned. Check out these tips on ways you can save on fuel prices this summer:

* Plan your pit stops (check ahead for gas prices)
* Slow down (even 5 mph over speed limit can add to fuel usage)
* Don’t carry extra junk in your trunk
* Most important decision: which car you buy

For more information on these tips and others, visit the U.S. Department of Energy to learn how you can make your summer vacation less costly…at least when it comes to fuel prices!
