The Lionheart School is a non-profit independent school whose mission is ‘to provide a developmentally appropriate program for children on the autism spectrum or with other challenges of relating and communicating.’ Established in 2000, the Lionheart School was founded by a group of concerned parents in collaboration with educational professionals and therapists. Their goal is to provide the resources necessary to teach life skills to these kids who, otherwise, would have limited options when they reach adulthood. Since it’s origination twelve years ago, the Lionheart School has been able to effectively serve kids ages 5 through 21 and were recently able to move into their building in Alpharetta, GA. For more information on the Lionheart School or how you can partner with them, visit their website at www.thelionheartschool.com.
